Invisalign is a clear tray. It's made out of plastic and it's custom-fit to your teeth. And so, what it does is it's designed with a very precise movement and control to be able to push on a specific location of your tooth, each individual tooth at the same time, to start to move them in unison to where they can complement each other on their location and their fit and their orientation, not only in your mouth but also in relation to your face. It does this over a period of time, so it's not just one or two trays. It's actually . . . and depending upon the movement, the further you have to move a tooth, the more trays, the more steps it takes to get there. It's kind of like driving across the United States. You're not going to make it in one pit stop. You're going to have to stop a couple of times along the way, right? Well, same thing with Invisalign. The further we have to move, the more stops along the way it is. Except we're not stopping. We're just changing from one tray to the next tray to the next tray to the next tray. And so, we're able to transition and make that fairly smooth. The trays are . . . they're super easy to maintain. They're super easy to keep clean because you don't have the traditional brackets and wires on each individual tooth. So you're able to still floss. You're still able to brush. You're still able to go out. It's very convenient for a lot of adults who speak for their living. Teachers love it. Anybody who has to get up in front of a crowd, anybody who speaks in that regard, it's highly functional for them. So the experience for our patients who are interested in Invisalign is very easy. We sit down and we have a one-on-one conversation about what movement do you want out of your teeth. What are you unhappy with in your smile? We kind of explore all those concerns that you might have. Then we talk about the options. How do we get the results that you want? We then are able to then collect the necessary information that we need. And then, we can send that off and have the trays custom-made and then they'll come back. Then we're seeing them on a regular basis, usually about every two to four weeks, depending on how well they're wearing their aligners, but also depending on how fast their teeth are moving.
